Google brought AI Plus to the US yesterday, and here’s how it upgrades usage limits in the Gemini app.
Instead of free “Basic access,” you get up to 90 prompts per day with the Thinking (Gemini 3 Flash) model on AI Plus ($7.99 per month). This is compared to 300 prompts with AI Pro. Gemini 3 Pro is limited to 30 prompts/day instead of 100 prompts on the $19.99 plan.
Context size goes from 32,000 tokens (about 50 pages of text) for free users to 128,000 tokens with AI Plus. The 1 million token context window on AI Pro/Ultra offers up to 1,500 pages of text.
There are no upgrades to Nano Banana (100 images/day) or Nano Banana Pro (3 images/day) compared to the free plan, though you do get “limited access” to Veo 3.1 Fast.
Google also lists “Limited access using Pro” to Deep Research, while there’s the same access to 10 Scheduled actions at a time.
As a reminder, these usage limits are also applicable to Google One 2 TB plan subscribers.

Meanwhile, Gemini app for iOS users this week got access to “NotebookLM” in the plus menu, which retains its platform-native style. Tapping brings up a list of your notebooks to add to your prompt and:
- Create content based on your notebook
- Add a notebook to a Gem
- Use other Gemini tools (like Canvas, Veo, Guided Learning, or Deep Research) based on the contents of your notebook
Google Workspace users also now have access to this integration.
By adding notebooks directly into Gemini, users can seamlessly build upon this deep, specific knowledge base and get more relevant responses with the full power of Gemini’s advanced conversational and content-creation capabilities.
