Google Store kicked off its Pixel Certified Refurbished program in 2024, and it’s now expanding to Amazon Renewed.
The Pixel 8a is now part of the Certified Refurbished program at $339, or $160 off the original retail price. With “savings of up to 45% off the original MSRP,” the 2024 mid-ranger joins the:
- Pixel 7: $329 (from $599)
- Pixel 7 Pro: $499 (from $899)
- Pixel 7a: $289 (from $499)
- Pixel 8: $459 (from $699)
- Pixel 8 Pro: $649 (from $999)
Refurbished devices are inspected, “repaired with authentic Google parts” (as needed), and come with the latest Android software.
Google says the 100% plastic-free packaging has been redesigned and features a “new Relove icon,” which appears to be the heart + recycle symbols.
Google’s other announcement today is that its Certified Refurbished devices are now available through Amazon Renewed: the “same device quality is guaranteed, and all purchases through Amazon are backed by the Amazon Renewed Guarantee.”
This is an expansion of the Google Store on Amazon, with slightly more affordable prices. For example, the Pixel 8, which is the only model currently available, comes in at $289.
