Motorola is preparing to launch its first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold, in the UK and Europe with early bird discounts and some freebies too.
Since initially previewing the device earlier this year, Motorola confirmed most of the remaining Razr Fold details early last month. And it’s looking pretty good, though the pricing of €1,999 in Europe did raise some eyebrows.
However, the big detail missing has been the release date.
It seems that’s coming fairly soon, with Motorola having now opened up pre-orders in the United Kingdom and Europe. In mentioning some freebies, including a Moto Watch and Moto Buds Loop, Motorola says that pre-orders will ship on May 6, suggesting that will be the release date.

It’s unclear if the release date will be the same in the US, as Motorola is still only offering “registration” in the States.
Pricing for Motorola Razr Fold lands at £1,799.99 in the UK, discounted to £1,579.99 during pre-orders. In Europe, sampling the listing in Germany, Razr Fold is €1,999.99, similarly discounted to €1,749.99. Those directly translate to around $2,300 USD, which surely is not accurate – based on Razr series pricing, it seems like $1,999 is the price Motorola will end up at.
