YouTube tests showing creator Posts in your Shorts feed

YouTube is testing out a new way to show Posts from creators to subscribers, with these posts now appearing alongside Shorts.

In YouTube’s ongoing list of tests, it’s been anounced this week that “image posts and carousels” can now appear in Shorts feeds to better show this content to subscribers.

When Posts are shown in Shorts, creators can show up to 10 images in a post with text overlays and royalty-free music. YouTube says this is the “first of many” updates coming to expand the Posts format.

Testing new ways to connect with Posts: We’re experimenting with showing image posts and carousels in the Shorts feed to help you connect with your audience in a new place and with new formats. You can test up to 10 images in a single carousel, add text overlays directly to your images and add royalty-free music from the YouTube Audio Library or generate a soundtrack from Dream Track (in eligible markets) to help set the tone. This experiment is rolling out globally on the YouTube mobile app. This is the first of many updates coming to Posts as we continue to expand the format. If you’re in the experiment group, try it out and let us know what you think!

This won’t appear for all users right away, but it sounds like YouTube is pretty eager to roll it out.
