First Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro update brings stability fixes, rolling out

The first Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro update brings stability fixes for select regions, for now.

Users are beginning to see the first update appear for the Galaxy Buds 4 series (via SamMobile). The download available for the Pro model carries the version number R640XXU0AZD2. Early reports don’t identify the model identifier for the base Galaxy Buds 4 model.

According to Samsung’s changelog in the official community forums, the update addresses stability issues and leaves out any feature additions. It’s an expected sort of update, considering the fact that the Galaxy Buds 4 series released in March. From a QoL standpoint, these sorts of updates are always welcome.

“Stabilization code related to device operation has been applied.”

For the time being, it looks like the Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro are getting this patch in Korea, and no other regions. Samsung follows the same pattern of releasing software updates in Korea and then in regions like the US, Europe, and more.

The update only amounts to around 8MB. You can check for the patch in your Galaxy device’s settings under connected devices.
