Leaked photo compares Samsung’s wider Galaxy Z Fold 8 to the ‘Ultra’ one

A new leak shows off the difference, in person, of the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s wider form factor versus the “Ultra” one we’re already used to.

Firstly, yes, you read that right. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 “Ultra” is apparently the same form factor we’ve been getting for the better part of the next decade, at least according to leaks. It still makes no real sense.

Anyway, the wider Galaxy Z Fold 8, Samsung’s new form factor, has now shown up in a hands-on leak (via Ice Universe) of two dummy units that show the wider device right next to the narrower one. It’s not the first time we’ve seen the two sizes compared, but it’s a far better representation this time around.

This new form factor is still thought to be chasing the same idea as Apple’s upcoming iPhone foldable, which will also have this wider design.

Other Galaxy Z Fold 8 leaks hint at an improved display crease and some long-overdue battery upgrades. Both foldables are expected to launch on July 22.
