According to a new report, Meta has plans to release several new smart glasses over the rest of 2026.
The Information reports that, alongside an “AI Pendant,” Meta has plans for four new pairs of smart glasses before the end of 2026. These include:
- “Modelo” as soon as June 2026
- “Luna” expected in Fall
- “RBM2 Refresh” expected in Fall
- “Mojito VIP” expected in December
“RBM2 Refresh” is likely a variation on the existing Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which got a Gen 2 release last year. The rest of the catalog, though, is largely a mystery. These new glasses would be coming as Meta prepares “Hatch” as a new consumer-focused AI agent, and a new business-focused “Wearables for Work” program.
Also coming at some point, not necessarily in 2026, would be “Artemis” and “SSG,” the latter referring to “supersensing glasses” which were previously reported to have a camera that could be turned on for extended periods of time and would give AI the ability to leverage knowledge of your surroundings constantly – somewhat similar to Google’s initial “Project Astra” demo, but even more ambient. The aforementioned AI Pendant would also be always-on, but in an audio-only capacity.
This all comes as an internal goal has been set to sell 10 million wearables in the second half of 2026.
