OnePlus 15 now rolling out AirDrop support over Android’s Quick Share

Following Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, and a select few other Android devices, AirDrop over Quick Share support now appears to be rolling out on the OnePlus 15.

The OnePlus 15 was released late last year and, from the looks of things at least, might be one of the last flagships the brand releases to the global market. That’s why it’s rather good news that, as of this week, AirDrop support is showing up on OnePlus 15 devices.

Google confirmed that the OnePlus 15 would be joining the list of Android devices supporting AirDrop over Quick Share, and now that support is actively rolling out. Users on the OnePlus forums first noted the rollout, and the folks at Android Authority are also seeing it on one of their OnePlus 15 devices.

A number of Oppo and Vivo devices are also adding AirDrop support right now, but the OnePlus 15 is a notable addition mainly because it is actively sold in the United States, a market where Apple’s iPhone and, in turn, AirDrop are heavily used. It’s unclear which updates are needed to actually use the newfound AirDrop support, but it’s been largely a server-side change on other Android devices.
