Philips Hue debuts table & floor lamps with TV sync, new candle bulb

Philips Hue is expanding on its smart lighting catalog even further with new table and floor lamps, as well as improved candle bulbs that are now available to customers.

Announced earlier this week, Philips Hue has three new products available now.

The first two are Play Lamps, one for tables/shelves, one for the floor. These lamps are slender poles that have color LEDs across one side, meant to bounce off of a wall and create gradient looks. They support Hue’s most advanced color tech as well as support for the Hue Sync HDMI box.

Designed to make Hue Entertainment more accessible, the new Play lamps help extend lighting effects beyond the TV screen, making viewing, gaming and music more immersive.

Whether positioned next to a TV, beside a sofa or elsewhere in the room, the lamps deliver dynamic lighting effects that synchronize with movies, games and music. Available in multiple form factors and designed for flexible placement, the new additions make it even easier to create synchronized lighting experiences throughout the home.

The Philips Hue Table Lamp costs $79.99, while the Floor Lamp runs $149.99.

Beyond that, the Hue “Candle” bulbs are getting a refresh. Built for an E12 socket, these upgraded bulbs offer broader color support including “full-spectrum daylight technology” while also adding Matter and improving energy efficiency. They hit 470 lumens of output.

The price is hefty, though, at $59.99 for a single bulb or $109.99 for a 2-pack.
