The slow, agonizing death of OnePlus continues, with the OnePlus website now displaying a prominent banner pushing existing customers over to Oppo products instead.
OnePlus has been quietly winding down operations in global markets over the past few months, but it’s increasingly clear we’re not going to see a formal end to the brand.
Case in point is what’s happening on the official OnePlus website in Germany right now.
Spotted by Cachys Blog (via WinFuture), the OnePlus store in Germany now shows a prominent banner across the top advertising a coupon for orders at Oppo.

We found the same notice on the OnePlus store in Spain and France, but not some other European countries we checked.
OnePlus says in the banner that Oppo products give customers “the experience you trust,” highlighting devices that integrate with or replace existing OnePlus hardware including earbuds, tablets, and the Oppo Find N9 series. All of the links lead to Oppo’s website.
OnePlus says (translated):
Looking for new technology that delivers everything you expect from OnePlus devices? OPPO has the speed you need and the experience you trust, keeping your workflows fast and seamless.
We’ve curated a selection of OPPO products powered by the latest hardware and high-performance software you know and love, all designed to provide seamless compatibility with existing OnePlus technology.
The subtext here isn’t exactly quiet. The phrasing heavily implies that OnePlus doesn’t have anything new to offer, at least in Germany, and is instead pushing customers over to Oppo’s lineup.
The writing has been on the wall there for a while, but this is one of the most explicit signs we’ve seen that, in at least some global markets, OnePlus is effectively dead despite existing products still remaining available for purchase. In markets where both OnePlus and Oppo operate, this sort of push makes sense, it just won’t apply to the US, where Oppo is not sold (but is certainly envied).
