A new leak reveals that Google is probably raising Pixel 11 series prices, finally ditching the 128GB storage option, and also aiming for a release date in August.
Dealabs reports that Google Pixel 11, like virtually every other new tech product, is getting a price hike when it launches.
Sort of.
This report claims that Google is finally ditching the base 128GB storage tier, instead offering 256GB as the lowest tier and going to 512GB and 1TB beyond that.
But, as such, pricing will also go up. This report includes pricing for Europe, where all Pixel 11 configurations will be going up by €100, give or take.
Here’s how the storage options and pricing break down:
| Pixel 11 | Pixel 11 Pro | Pixel 11 Pro XL | Pixel 11 Pro Fold | |
| 256GB | €999/£879 | €1,199/£1,079 | €1,399/£1,279 | €1,999/£1,799 |
| 512GB | €1,129/£999 | €1,329/£1,199 | €1,529/£1,399 | €2,129/£1,919 |
| 1TB | X | €1,589/£1,429 | €1,789/£1,629 | €2,389/£2,149 |
Oof.
The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are essentially following in the footsteps of the Pixel 10 Pro XL last year, with a “price hike” that matches that of the prior generation’s higher storage configuration. The 128GB models of those devices started at €899 and €1,099, respectively. But Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are both just getting normal €100 price hikes.
Inevitable given “RAMageddon,” but painful nonetheless – especially when you remember that Google is one of the companies that’s directly playing a role in this whole problem alongside other big names in AI.
A previous leak claimed that Google might lessen RAM in some configurations, but there’s no mention of that in this new report.
Also mentioned here are the color options for the Pixel 11 series, using what appears to be their final, public-facing names. These include:
- Pixel 11: Light Sterling, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia, Moss
- Pixel 11 Pro: Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune, Pine
- Pixel 11 Pro XL: Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune, Pine
- Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Midnight Haze, Pine
The 1TB versions, notably, are said to only be offered in “Midnight Haze,” which is this year’s black color. “Dune” is said to be a pink color.
The report ends with a mention of the Pixel 11’s release date – August 20. That would be following a launch date (i.e. Google’s event) that’s claimed to take place “around” August 11.
What do you think of these higher prices for the Pixel 11 series?
