Samsung has another brand-new Galaxy Buds design, and they just leaked [Gallery]

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds lineup is relatively static, offering the occasional redesign or experimental form factor, but it seems the company is really looking to branch out in the near future. Alongside its first open-ear desgin, another new pair of Galaxy Buds have just leaked with an ear hook design.

Spotted by SamMobile inside of a Samsung app, a new pair of Galaxy Buds with the codename “Buds Canal 5” have surfaced. Unlike the “Galaxy Buds On” that have also been leaking, these appear to be earbuds with a traditional eartip, but with hooks that wrap around your ear.

This is a design that’s been used for years especially on earbuds designed for workouts or running, but Samsung has never adopted it. JBL, Anker’s Soundcore, and even Beats sell earbuds with this design.

Since this is an app-based leak, we’re just seeing icons and not the actual physical design of the earbuds just yet. Still, it gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect. There’s nothing showing the case yet, nor are we sure what these will be called. However, we can guess that they’ll probably be released alongside Samsung’s other new Galaxy Buds design, and probably the Galaxy Tab S12 and S26 FE later this year.
