The Pixel 11 series gets a nice little boost under the back panel to 25W wireless charging – something only the most expensive models got last year.
When the Pixel 10 Pro XL launched, it was the only phone of the four that was rated for 25W wireless charging. The 25W charging rate is important because it’s the max rating for devices with Qi2.2. The Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold trail behind with only 15W wireless charging. It’s not slow in many respects, but it clearly doesn’t reach top speed for the Qi2 standard.
This year is a bit different as all four new devices – Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold – get full-speed Qi2 25W wireless charging.
By extension, that also means the phones can actually take advantage of Google’s existing Pixelsnap charger. The charger is rated for that max rate and, even though it launched last year, the only device that could use it at full capacity was the Pixel 10 Pro XL up until now, where last year’s phones were mostly limited to 15W speeds.
The Pixelsnap charger didn’t get an upgrade or makeover, like the Pixelsnap Ring Stand or Google’s case choices.
Even better, the Pixelsnap charger that now works with every single Pixel 11 at full speed is currently at its lowest price on Amazon – $34.99. It’s normally priced at $70 for the charger and stand, which is steep. For $35, that’s a huge steal.
But it’s almost like an upgrade, considering the charger works with all form factors Google is releasing. It’s still available in the same light, neutral colorway as last year. So it should go well with everything from Hibiscus to Canyon, and even Pistachio.
