Philips Hue Bridge Pro is now $139, with even bigger price hikes globally

The Philips Hue Bridge Pro is a massive functional upgrade for your smart home lighting, but it now comes at a much higher cost, with price hikes now in effect around the globe.

In the US, Philips Hue launched its Bridge Pro last year at $99. Now, that price has jumped up to $139 across the Hue Shop, Amazon, and other retailers. It’s a price hike of roughly 40% and appears to have kicked in around mid-late August.

That’s almost certainly due to the rising costs of memory, as Bridge Pro has 8GB of RAM.

But the price hikes are even worse in other regions. Hue Blog reports that the price has jumped from an initial cost of €89 to €149 now. And that price hike appears to have just kicked in throughout Europe, with some retailers not yet showing the updated pricing. The report also notes that European prices on several other Hue products have gone up by around €10-20 each, including the Hue Essential bulb 4-pack going from €59 to €69.
