Yet another price hike is imminent for Disney+ and Hulu, with the new plans going up by around $2 per month.
Bloomberg first reported on the incoming price hike, which is said to kick in today. While Disney+’s website and documentation still show existing pricing for us, our sister site 9to5Mac did see the updated pricing already live.
Compared to a price hike in 2025, here are Disney+’s updated prices:
- Disney+ (standalone, with ads): $11.99 > $12.49
- Disney+ Premium (standalone, no ads): $18.99 > $21.49
- Disney+ & Hulu bundle (with ads): $12.99 (unchanged)
- Disney+ & Hulu Bundle (no ads): $19.99 > $21.99

Considering that Disney is cheaping out on license rights, this gets kind of funny. In certain European countries, you can't get 4K HDR or IMAX Enhanced, instead you get Full HD for full price.
Piracy was nearly destroyed because streaming was cheap, accessible, and convenient. Now we have a fragmented market and the prices have tripled or even more. I just don't get it. Companies were in the perfect position to gain more people paying for subscription and now people hate streaming.
An FAQ on Disney+’s landing page shows some of the updated pricing:

We’ll likely get more information on how other plans are affected as the price hike rolls out, but it’s said to be kicking in today. We’ll update this article as more details land.
Toy Story 5 lands on Disney+ today; coincidence?
