Vivo X Fold 6 skips the wide form factor, but will launch globally with strong cameras

Vivo’s new X Fold 6 doesn’t join in on the wide foldable trend, but it has some pretty wild camera promises.

The Vivo X Fold 6 packs a punch with an 8.02-inch inner display, a 6.51-inch outer display, and is running on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip. That’s with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage.

The cameras are perhaps the biggest standout here, though, as foldables usually have to make some serious compromises in that department.

The main camera is a 200MP Samsung HPB Large Sensor backed up by a 50MP 3x periscope shooter and a 50MP ultrawide. Everything uses ZEISS imaging and Vivo has a teleconverter add-on to extend the range of the camera. Vivo also says to expect a more responsive shutter and improvements to portrait mode and subject tracking.

Rounding out the package is a 6,900 mAh battery, IP58/59 dust and water resistance, and Android 17-based OriginOS 7 out of the box.

Vivo has confirmed the X Fold 6 will see a global debut though, as always, don’t expect a US release.
