Motorola is rolling out its Android 17 update to more devices

Motorola is expanding its Android 17 rollout, with the update making its way to many more devices including the Razr Ultra (2026) this week.

Motorola detailed its Android 17 update back in August, but timing details were left unclear. Now it seems to be starting to roll out in the US.

Friend-of-the-site and former (before the site was gutted last week) Managing Editor at Android Central, Derrek Lee, noticed the Android 17 update landing on his Motorola Razr Ultra (2026) this week as a 4.17GB update carrying the version number A171WLH.38-19-5. It’s still based on the September 2026 security update.

Motorola’s condensed changelog notes a “fresh, expressive design” and “smarter notifications,” both of which were detailed in a previous detailed overview of the update.

Interestingly, the update has yet to land for the Motorola Razr Fold at this point, but one would imagine that’s not too far away.

The Razr Ultra (2026) isn’t the only device being updated, though. The floodgates seem to have opened with Edge 60 Fusion, Edge 60 Pro, Motorola Signature, and more all being updated in the past few days. Edge 70 devices were updated a few weeks ago.
