Google rolling out minor Nest Hub update

Google is rolling out yet another update to its Nest Hub family but, as per usual, don’t expect much.

Firmware version 31.20260429.103.8713700 is now rolling out to Nest Hub, Nest Hub (2nd Gen), and Nest Hub Max. The update is built on Google’s Fuchsia OS and started rolling out today, October 20.

The official release notes lack much specific detail, only mentioning that the update contains bug fixes and security updates.

Bug fixes and improvements, including critical security updates.

Google rolled out two updates to its smart displays in September, and nearly a dozen so far this year in total. None of these updates have delivered any user-facing features, though, and are likely just for general maintenance of the platform.
