When LeEco announced the Le Pro3 and Le S3 the company talked about a program called User Planning to User (UP2U). LeEco’s goal with this program was to take user feedback and implement changes to make devices even better. Now, months after the phones were first released, LeEco is finally pushing out an update with performance improvements and new features…
The biggest change to EUI — LeEco’s Ecosystem User Interface — is the addition of an app drawer. Currently, LeEco has a shortcut button for their Live entertainment application placed in the center of the app dock. After the update, this will be replaced by the app drawer, with the Live shortcut being moved to the side. Thankfully, you can now remove the icon from your homescreen or place it in a folder.
Also in this update are performance improvements for the cameras in both smartphones. Specifically, the Le S3 will be updated to hopefully take better low-light photographs while the Le Pro3 will be getting improved HDR functionality with faster image processing times.
Finally, LeEco is including a bunch of other minor improvements that target EUI and device performance. These include an enhanced fingerprint sensor feature where the phone will now only vibrate when it fails, new parental controls over content from LeEco’s LE app, improved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi reliability, and more. You can read the entire list of changes on LeEco’s website.
This update will be rolling out to LeEco Le Pro3 and Le S3 handsets over the next few days. If you don’t see it show up on your device, you can head on over to the setting menu and manually check for a system update.
