The Galaxy Watch 5 is continuing to see One UI Watch betas become available, even if not at the same rate as the Watch 6 series. Today, Samsung began rolling out One UI Watch 6 beta 7 for the Galaxy Watch 5 lineup.
The Galaxy Watch 5 is a couple of years old at this point, though it still has plenty of support time left from Samsung. SamMobile spotted on Samsung’s official community forum that the company announced the release of One UI Watch 6 beta version 7 to the Galaxy Watch 5.
This comes as the Galaxy Watch 6 is already on beta version 8, and the latest Galaxy Watch 7 is, of course, on the full release. The move proves Samsung is still committed to offering new software, even in an incomplete form, to Galaxy Watch users with devices several years old. It’s good to see.
Those in Korea who wish to participate in the latest version of the beta program can do so starting today. As to when it will roll out to more users, there is no word. There is also no word from Samsung on the Galaxy Watch 4’s beta update.
According to the changelog, the beta version 7 brings system stabilization, performance optimization, and battery improvements. The LTE models will see improved network connections.
