As it tends to do new products, Google is emailing some owners a feedback survey about their experience with Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Google starts by asking “how likely you are to recommend Pixel Buds Pro 2 to a friend or family member” with 0-10 scale and an open field to provide more details. The survey then asks about your last pair of headphones and phone brand.
The “reasons why you purchased the Pixel Buds Pro 2 instead of a different set of wireless earbuds” question provides an interesting look into how Google thinks its headphones are competitive:
Noise canceling ability | Recommended by people I know / experts |
High sound quality | Long battery life |
Made by a brand I trust | Compatible with my phone / other devices |
Comfortable to wear for long periods of time | Offers advanced audio features |
Good value for the money | Look good / stylish |
Ability to track in case they’re misplaced | Has controls on the earbud itself |
Has a voice activated assistant I like | Someone else purchased it for me / | received it as a gift |
Wanted to use advanced Al features on my buds | The earbud came bundled with my phone purchase |
Google then asks about what “issues or unhelpful actions have you experienced” with Pixel Buds Pro 2, which we’ve recreated below:
The company is particularly interested in if you’ve heard “unwanted noises / sounds” and how frequently, as well as overall sound quality.
The Gemini and Gemini Live section of the survey asks if Pixel Buds Pro 2 has increased usage. In announcing the headphones, Google believed that Live paired with headphones would make an interesting combo.
There’s a question about specific Gemini issues. Personally, the screen turning on for Gemini interactions remains annoying, with Google believing that people want to see the transcript at all times.
