Samsung announced earlier this week that the Galaxy Z TriFold would be available for purchase in the United States on January 30, but we noticed today that Samsung’s website briefly let you buy the device a little early and, while it’s now sold out, it revealed a few details including a lack of trade-in options.
The Galaxy Z TriFold launched overseas in late 2025, and Samsung confirmed earlier this month that the device will make its way to the US market on January 30 for a price of $2,899. The TriFold adds a third display section and a second hinge, giving users an outer display that’s similar in size to a normal smartphone, but unfolding to a wider 10-inch canvas that’s effectively like carrying a proper tablet everywhere you go.
As mentioned, Samsung said that sales would open for the device on January 30, but it briefly was available for purchase earlier today.
We spotted this morning that the Galaxy Z TriFold is now available for purchase on Samsung.com, assuming you visit the purchase listing directly instead of going through Samsung’s main landing page. Immediately after we published this article, Samsung updated the listing to where the TriFold cannot be added to the cart, implying it was just an early slip-up.
Still, this tells us a lot.
Samsung is offering the TriFold for $2,899, though the final price is around $3,100 after tax, at least in our NC-based location. Samsung offers TriFold buyers a 10% discount on its new “Smart Keyboard,” $70 off of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and 10% off of Galaxy Watch 8 Classic when bundling any of those devices with your TriFold. At checkout, there’s also an option to include “Samsung VIP Advantage” which comes with boosted rewards and up to two years of Samsung Care+ for $149.99/year.
Samsung also includes 50% off of LumaFusion, 2 months of Adobe Lightroom, a 30-day free trial to ArcSite, 3 months of SiriusXM, a 30-day trial to Samsung Health Premium, and 6 months of “Google Gemini Advanced” as free perks, though these are the same perks available on other Galaxy devices.

Perhaps more notable here, though, is a lack of trade-in options. Samsung’s listing for the TriFold is completely devoid of any way to add a trade-in device, and there’s no option at checkout either. This was rumored, though mentions on Samsung’s website did hint that trade-ins would be available for the TriFold. We asked Samsung about this earlier in the week, but the company has yet to confirm whether or not it will offer trade-ins for the TriFold.
As for delivery, Samsung estimates that early orders will arrive by February 4 – this coming Wednesday, but that might change by the time the device is fully available for purchase tomorrow.
