Earlier today, Nothing announced a new AirDrop-esque app called Warp that sent files between devices through your Google Drive account. Hours later, it has vanished.
Nothing Warp replicates the core feature of AirDrop by allowing users to send files from their phone to their computer without dealing with cables, folders, or anything else. Just a few quick taps and the file shows up on their other device. It’s not quite as seamless as Quick Share or AirDrop, instead going through your Google Drive account, where Warp silently uploads files for transfer and later deletes them.
While a bit of an odd solution, it admittedly does get the job done.
Or, it did.
For reasons unknown, Nothing Warp has vanished entirely.
Nothing’s announcement blog post has been deleted. The Play Store listing for the Warp app has vanished for anyone who didn’t already install it. The Chrome extension is gone.
It’s really strange, especially seeing as it happened within just a few hours of the announcement. Nothing announced Warp around 7am ET this morning and, by the afternoon, Redditors reported it was missing.
We’ve reached out to Nothing for comment on why Warp suddenly vanished.
