Spotify is launching deeper AI agent integration with “Personal Podcasts,” which can be saved to your account with personalized information such as calendar events.
Available starting today with OpenClaw, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, “Personal Podcasts” in Spotify allow AI agents to save content directly to a user’s library.
Spotify explains:
If you’re already using an agent like OpenClaw, Claude Code or OpenAI Codex on desktop, add our new Save to Spotify beta tool and with a simple prompt, turn things like your daily digest, class notes, or weekend itinerary into a Personal Podcast that’s saved directly to your Spotify library.
The idea here is to have your agent create podcasts that are personalized to you, leveraging information that you’ve requested or even data from other sources, like from your calendar events. This is then saved to your Spotify library, making it easy to access that “Personal Podcast” from any device later.
Some sample prompts shared by Spotify in an email to 9to5Google include:
- “Pull from my calendar for the day and flag anything back-to-back or that needs prep. Check my inbox for anything urgent or time-sensitive. Grab 2-3 stories from my feeds that are actually worth knowing about today. And, recommend a podcast to listen to on my commute. Keep it under 5 minutes.”
- “Make me an audio itinerary about my upcoming trip. Summarize my flight details, tell me the best route to go to the airport and recommend the best restaurants and dishes from their menus, shopping and museums in the neighborhoods I’m visiting.”
- “Build me an audio session that dives deep into the history of the World Cup with details about key players, where it’s been held and what I should know about the games this year.”
To use this, you’ll need to access the Save to Spotify CLI on GitHub, sign into your Spotify account, and connect it to your AI agent of choice.
Spotify also today announced an expansion of its DJ feature to four new languages – French, German, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese – as well as to several new countries including Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, South Korea, Switzerland and more.
