If you’ve noticed some problems with YouTube Music on iPhone in recent days, you’re not alone, but Google says those issues have now been fixed.
In a support thread, Google acknowledged issues with YouTube Music playback problems through the iPhone app earlier this week. The issue left users with broken functions in the app including the ability to skip tracks, use the miniplayer, or access YouTube Music through CarPlay.
Google summarized the problems as follows:
- Playback Failures: Continuous playback, skipping/jumping tracks, or “Play Next” functions failing to work.
- A blank miniplayer.
- Disrupted functionality with CarPlay, Siri, and Bluetooth connections.
Now, this has been fixed.
Google said late on May 28 that updating the YouTube Music app for iPhone will now fix the issues users were experiencing. The latest version, 9.21, is now in the App Store for all users.
