Google Messages rolls out Keep Notes integration on Android

Following the September 2026 Android Drop announcement last week, Google Messages is widely rolling out its new Keep Notes integration.

Opening the ‘plus’ menu in a conversation reveals the new Keep Notes shortcut. (As a reminder, you can reorder the pills here.) Alternatively, Google might show a contextual “Create list” shortcut in the suggestions row.

Tapping the Keep icon will load your feed of notes, with “Create a note” appearing at the bottom-right corner as a FAB (floating action button). This brings up a slightly modified editor with just shortcuts for list creation and formatting. The Google Account signed into Messages will be used.

The send button shares the note to the chat with a live preview offered. Tapping the chat bubble lets you edit the note again, which is particularly useful for checking off list items.

This integration aims to let you quickly create and share notes.

Keep Notes in Google Messages is rolling out via a server-side update and has reached wide availability in recent days.
