Amazon launches two Bee AI recorders to remember everything you say

Just over a year after acquiring the AI company, Bee, Amazon has officially unveiled two of its first AI wearables, so you never forget what was said.

Amazon announced two models: the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse. Both can be considered wearables, with one taking on a bracelet form factor that works just fine clipped to a shirt. The Eclipse is a magnetic version of the always-listening device for use with Qi2 or MagSafe-equipped phones.

The Frontier is not dissimilar to the first preview Bee introduced before it was purchased by Amazon. At the time, the company had seemingly high hopes for being a genuine cornerstone of people’s lives to make their lives easier.

Amazon says both models are designed with “privacy principles” in mind, noting that a visible LED indicates when the Bee Frontier or Eclipse is listening. That’s what they do, after all. Both are designed to stay active and compile your ideas, thoughts, and even nonsense into reminders or notes, based on what Bee’s AI model decides you might need.

All of that can be found in the companion app, whether on mobile or desktop. Users can connect their Google Account to let it access emails and calendar information. That feeds into the selling idea that Bee becomes your personal assistant so you don’t miss out on a thing.

As for hardware, the Bee Frontier wearable is IP67 and rated for seven days of battery. The magnetic Eclipse model is able to power through a longer workload with up to 21 days of battery on a charge.

Of course, Amazon also added Alexa+ and Amazon.com integration into how the Bee wearables operate. The devices will be able to surface products based on your anticipated needs. That’s fun.

The Bee Frontier is available now for $74.99, while the Bee Eclipse will goi on sale “soon” starting at $99.99.
