Google developing recording option for Chrome’s Remote Desktop app

If you frequently use Google’s Chrome Remote Desktop application to play tech support for your friends and you’re in need of some reference material, Mountain View’s got you covered. The search giant’s Chromium team is currently in the process of developing a record button for Chrome’s remote access app.

This will allow users to capture and save their desktop sharing sessions, which may come in handy if you’re trying to create a how-to video guide, or keep track of the files and documents that you’ve been sharing. Chrome evangelist, François Beaufort didn’t share when the feature would be available, however the Googler did publish its source code for programers who wish to develop their own Chromoting applications.
