LG G3 leaks in white, black, and gold ahead of likely May 27th announcement

The G3 has been at the center of various leaks over the past month, but the latest is the most complete. The above photo (via PhoneArena) reportedly shows off the back of both the black and white models, and the front of what appears to be the gold model. While the photo isn’t exactly “high quality,” it does provide for a good look at the brushed metal effect of the back. The device isn’t rumored to be made of metal, so the brushed effect is just a treatment to the plastic back. LG’s devices have often used plastic over higher-end materials, such as glass or metal. The knob below the camera lens are the physical buttons. This design was introduced with the G2, and seems to have been refined with the G3.

The G3 will likely be the center of LG’s upcoming May 27th event. The device is almost guaranteed to feature a 5.5″ QHD display, as well as 2.3 GHz SnapDragon processor, along with other top-of-the-line specs. The camera’s sensor size may vary depending on the specific model, though 13 megapixels will likely be the version most widely available.

With the latest leaks, it looks like LG’s flagship will at least rival Samsung’s Galaxy S5 in terms of design, even if it doesn’t quite live up to the bar set by the HTC One M8.
