Following several rumors of a possible November 3rd release for Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google today confirmed the release date in a note to developers (via AndroidPolice).

In a note reminding developers that the Android 5.0 SDK is now available to start developing, testing and publishing Lollipop apps to Google Play, Google also confirms that release will become “available to consumers on November 3.”

It’s not that surprising given Google is expected to start shipping its new Nexus devices on November 3 including the Nexus 9 and Nexus 6. However, they might not be the only devices getting Lollipop on the November 3rd as a previous report claimed the 2013 Nexus 7 and 10 would receive an update on the same date.

Google is also reportedly set to officially launch Android Wear 2.0, the latest release of its Android wearable platform, on November 3.
