On the heels of our editorial yesterday asking what is your favorite app of 2013, Google is adding their own selection of the “Best Apps of 2013.” The selection itself is filled with some usual suspects like Wunderlist, theScore or Photo Editor by Aviary. Thankfully, the best apps list also includes my own favorites with Circa and Duolingo.

The list itself may or may not meet your own requirements for what qualifies as the “best” app of the year and its hard to know what factors Google took under consideration when putting together this list. Still, there’s something here for everyone and considering that there is bound to be a ton of “best of” lists starting to appear across the blogosphere, you should quickly glance at Google’s selection to see if anything you might discover belongs on your homescreen.
