Sprint launching LTE-enabled variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 next week

If you’re just itching to grab the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, but just can’t take the plunge without Sprint’s “Spark” LTE, you might be glad to know that the wait is almost over. Sprint has announced that their own LTE-powered version of the tablet, which is just a slight variation on the Tab S that has been on the market since June, will be available from September 12th onwards.

The version Sprint is selling is almost identical to its Wi-Fi-only brother, with one distinct difference (besides the addition of LTE, of course): Sprint went with the Qualcomm 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 over the previous Exynos system-on-a-chip. Beyond that, though, you’ll find the same 10.5-inch AMOLED screen (with a resolution of 2560 x 1600), 16 GB of flash storage, 3 GB RAM, a 8 MP back camera, a 2 MP camera on the front, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

You’ll be able to find the device through a variety of Sprint retail outlets, and to further differentiate it, the company will be selling it in “Titanium Bronze.” Up front the device will cost you a whopping $649, but with Sprint Easy Pay some buyers will be able to grab it starting at $27.09 a month with $0 down. If all of this sounds good to you, you should be able to grab one on Friday, September 12th.

Here’s the full press release:
