The HTC RE is one of the weirdest looking cameras that we’ve seen released this year. At a glance it looks like a tiny periscope or a colorful asthma inhaler. Odd presentation aside, this GoPro alternative has some likable qualities, however its $200 asking price is likely to be a turnoff for frugal photogs. If that last line sounds like you, then you might want to listen up, because HTC is having a sale.

To celebrate Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the Taiwanese company and several of its retail partners will be selling the device for just $100. The sale starts on Thursday, November 27th at 9pm PT and keeps on going until 9pm PT on Monday, December 1st.

The deal will be available at retailers like Best Buy, Verizon and AT&T or you could just buy the device directly from its maker.

As a reminder, the HTC RE features a 16-megapixel 2.3-inch Sony-made CMOS sensor and is capable of capturing 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second. With its 820mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi capabilities, this camera is compatible with devices running Android 4.3 or higher.
