NBC has this morning released an update for its Android app that introduces live streaming of the network’s content directly to an Android phone or tablet. Like most things in the cable industry, the feature is only available in a few select cable markets that this time and requires a subscription to a cable or satellite partner.

All users will be able to take advantage of the other new feature added in this update, however. NBC has expanded its in-app library of classic shows to include full episodes of The A-Team, Miami Vice, Battlestar Galactica, and more. The episodes are viewable directly in the app and require no cable or satellite login to access.

  • Watch Full Episodes And Clips – Watch full episodes of NBC’s hit shows such as The Blacklist and The Voice as well as highlight clips and previews from The Tonight Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers and Saturday Night Live.
  • NBC Classics –  Watch hundreds of episodes of classic shows such as The A-Team, Miami Vice, Kojak, Knight Rider, etc.
  • NBC Live Stream – Watch your local NBC station (including network programming) Live in select markets. Just sign in with your TV service provider username and password to start watching.
  • Continue Watching – Pick up where you left off when returning to an episode you haven’t finished watching
  • Favorites – Designate your favorite shows to find and watch the latest episodes and clips quickly
  • Improved Search – Finding the episodes you’re looking for is easier than ever.
