Tidal shows off refreshed Android app w/ Ticketmaster integration alongside $4.99 student pricing, desktop apps

Tidal is today announcing big updates to the Jay-Z backed streaming music service, including a refreshed Android app design with UI tweaks and Ticketmaster integration alongside new desktop app betas for Mac and Windows. 

The refreshed Android app design is pictured above and will come with a few new features in addition to an improved UI:

TIDAL members will also experience an updated design and functionality for its mobile platform, including: improved search functionality, updated menu and icons, including a prominent “offline mode” button, as well as new personalization options.

For Ticketmaster integration, Tidal users will now be able to view tour dates and purchase tickets while the company notes that it will be offering exclusive giveaways, pre-sales and deals on tickets only for its users. That feature comes to the new Android app (as pictured above) in addition to the on the desktop.
