ASUS Zenpad 8 flagship tablet now available: 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and USB Type-C for $299

ASUS is making its mark in the world of Android phones. With the launch of its ZenFone 2 it caught everyone’s attention with high end specs and low pricing. And now, it wants us to take notice of its Android-powered tablets. The ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 tablet offers an incredible feature list for relatively little outlay. The company’s small flagship tablet is now available to buy.

For $299 you get a tablet equipped with an 8-inch, 2048 x 1536 resolution full laminated IPS display coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It’s powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom 2.3GHz processor, has a huge 4GB RAM and 64GB of built in storage. As if that wasn’t enough, you can expand the storage up to an extra 128GB using a Micro SD card. It has an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with ASUS’ ZenUI skin on top. It’s also equipped with a USB Type-C connector.

Perfectly complimenting these high end specs is a design and finish that’s really sleek and premium-looking. It has a metallic finish with a hairline pattern on the back and diamond-cut chamfered edges. Whats more, it’s finished with a leather-like texture around the edges and on the bottom portion of the back.

ZenPad S 8.0 is available to buy right now from Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Newegg, Tiger Direct and the ASUS Store. Asus notes that you’ll be able to pick up an optional stylus for the tablet for $29.99 from September.
