If you follow Android Wear on Twitter or recall their latest ads, you’ll notice a particular motif of bright colors and geometric backgrounds. The Wear site has since been revamped to match that design and shows off the latest devices, watchfaces, and apps.
All the latest watches get showcased including the new Moto 360 Sport and $1500 TAG Heuer Connected. Having the wearables side-by-side really highlights how Android allows choice and unique designs. There are information cards about each watch, and country specific links to retail stores at the bottom of the page. The site also links to shops that sell different bands.
On the software front, it has screenshots and descriptions of dozens of third-party apps. It also shows off built-in Android Wear features and Google’s own apps. The site highlights new features that came with Marshmallow including the ability to take phone calls right from your wrist and speaker support.
Android Wear 1.4 was finally released last month and brought a major improvement to battery life with Doze. The Moto 360 and Huawei Watch have already received the update, and it is rolling out to other devices.
