After rolling out a Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S5 yesterday, Verizon is now rolling out the same to its variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. The update carries version number MMB29K.T817VVRU2BPE1 and packs the standard Marshmallow features we’re all accustomed to at this point. Those include Doze, app permissions, and Google Now on Tap among other things…
Verizon has also updated a few of the built in applications on the tablet including the stock email client which now includes better search and sort functionality. You also find some new features within the gallery and memo apps. Aside from that however there doesn’t seem to be much that’s new here but nonetheless, it just good to see Marshmallow heading to yet another device.
To download the update, head into your settings menu and look for the “system updates” section to initiate the download if you haven’t already received a notification.
This software update brings the latest Android™ Marshmallow OS and a fresh new look to the device along with new ways to express yourself in emails, pictures and memos.
