Google’s Project Fi is giving away some free travel goodies at the San Jose Airport

Being a Project Fi subscriber has its perks. If you’re not getting a free $10 Play Store gift card around the holidays, you’re getting access to a referral program that awards you a $20 bill credit. Now, Google is launching yet another perk exclusively for Fi subscribers…

If you’re passing through San Jose Airport, be sure to head over to Terminal B, across from gate 25 (on the other side of security). There, you’ll find a nifty Project Fi vending machine, popping out some helpful traveling accessories for free if Google is your monthly cellular carrier.

What can you get from this standalone vending machine? “The items are all travel-related goodies, such as eye masks, socks, and charging cables,” Google says in a tweet. As far as we know, this is the only Project Fi vending machine like this (so far, at least).

Here are the full details, as provided by Google:

You can find a vending machine with free travel items for Project Fi customers at Terminal B of the San Jose Airport (SJC), across from Gate 25. To receive a free travel item from a Project Fi vending machine:

  1. On your Fi device, call *#*#FLYWITHFI#*#* (*#*#359948434#*#*).
  2. This will generate a unique QR code on your screen.
  3. Use the scanner on the vending machine to scan the QR code from your phone.
  4. Choose your item.

Once you’ve used your QR code, you can only use it again after 24 hours. If you’re having trouble getting your QR code or using a Project Fi vending machine, contact us.
