DuckDuckGo

What sets DuckDuckGo apart from other search engines is the fact that it doesn’t provide results that were altered based on a user’s previous searches. Instead, DuckDuckGo delivers the same results for a given search term or phrase to everyone. This way, the privacy-driven search engine can show what it believes to be the best results period.

Startpage

Startpage is also a privacy-centric search engine as it doesn’t track the user around the internet. To find the best results, Startpage takes the top 10 results from multiple different search engines and ranks the results. Based on those rankings, Startpage then serves them to the user.

Searx is an open source “metasearch engine” that allows anyone to create and distribute their own version of. The main variant, linked below, is probably the most privacy-focused with an option to use it as a Tor hidden service. Searx does take in results from other search engines, but it doesn’t share the user’s IP address or search history.
