The Poco Pad is the first Android tablet from Pocophone

The Poco Pad has officially launched alongside the Poco F6 and F6 Pro as the first tablet from the Xiaomi sub-brand.

The Poco Pad is not a flagship-level device. It is powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that can be expanded up to 1.5TB via microSD card. It also has a 12.1-inch 120Hz LCD display with a 2,650 by 1,600 pixel resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. HDR content is supported with a maximum 600 nit peak brightness. The panel is coated with Gorilla Glass 3 for basic scratch protection.

Other notable specifications include a 10,000mAh internal cell with 33W wired charging support. The rear has an 8MP main sensor, and the selfie camera is centrally placed when holding the Poco Pad in landscape orientation. 1080p video recording at 30fps is supported on both camera lenses. Xiaomi is also selling an optional Smart Pen, folio and keyboard case to help improve the usability and productivity of Poco’s first tablet device.

Four stereo speakers are placed at each corner and support Dolby Atmos audio for a great listening experience with the Poco Pad. Weighing in at just 571g, the slim metal unibody design comes in two colors: Graphite Grey and Ocean Blue.

Xiaomi HyperOS ships atop Android 14 with apps like Mi Canvas and OS tuning added to help make the Poco Pad a better productivity tool. These include a cross-device Notes app that syncs across devices and lets you drag-and-drop content between your mobile and Poco Pad when in the nearby vicinity. No details were shared on just how many updates this Android tablet will receive, but this could be a good basic tablet for content consumption and a little more.

The Poco Pad will be available soon for $329. The keyboard case costs $79, while the Pen costs $59. Poco is offering its first tablet for $299 as part of an early bird promotion.
