As teased, Bellroy is making a “Pixel Watch Strap” and it’s now available to pre-order for $69. It joins their various phone cases and Pixel Buds Pro case.
Bellroy says it “worked closely with Google’s designers” on designing this band for the Pixel Watch 3.
This is not a straightforward leather band as it’s paired with a “durable polymer” underside. It “provides stability and durability,” while that “textured underside reduces sweat build-up.”
Pairing leather with polymer enables this band to stand up to rigorous use without losing shape.
Bellroy touts a “premium [gold-rated, Leather Working Group] leather grows patina as it ages.” Specifically, it’s: 75% Plastic polymer, 18% Leather, 7% Stainless steel, and <1% Other materials.
It’s available in two sizes that presumably correlate to the 41mm and 45mm sizes.
- Small: fits wrists 115-175mm (4.5-6.9 inches) around
- Large: fits wrists 140–200mm (5.5-7.9 inches) around
Bellroy’s Pixel Watch Strap is $69 in Terracotta (light brown) and Black. In the US, “this item is expected to ship within 4 weeks.” It’s not yet available at the Google Store or other retailers.
