Circle to Search is finally rolling out to more phones currently on the market. The OnePlus 12 is the latest phone that gets Google’s Circle to Search with an OS upgrade to Android 15.
The OnePlus 12 is in line to get Android 15 through an update to OxygenOS 15, and the company has detailed exactly what that means. Essentially, a lot of AI is coming to the OnePlus 12, including new image features and productivity tools that’ll make work and play a little easier.
Circle to Search is part of that update, and it has quickly become one of the most popular features to hit Android devices. The tool allows you to tap and hold the home button or navigation bar to quickly take a temporary screenshot of your display. In that little pause in time, users are able to circle items of interest, copy text, or even translate what’s on the screen. It’s a multi-functional toolbox at the press of a virtual button.
On the OnePlus 13, the feature works no differently. It’s essentially unchanged from Google’s original design of the feature, complete with search, translation, and music identification at the bottom.
Android 15 is being released on October 30 for the OnePlus 12, and with it, Circle to Search. The OnePlus 12R will see Android 15 and Circle to Search a little further down the road, but it will be coming. Be sure to check for an update as it becomes available.
