Wyze has just launched its latest smart weight scale, the Wyze Scale Ultra, which costs $50 and has a color display among other new features.
The Wyze Scale Ultra joins the brand’s collection of low-cost weight scales that are app-connected and able to sync with Wyze’s app, as well as Fitbit and Google Fit.
This latest scale supports 13 separate body composition metrics including weight, BMI, body fat percentage, muscle mass, heart rate, body water percentage, and more. The scale can show trends and even has special modes including the ability to use the scale to easily measure the weight of a pet, baby, or even something like luggage.
On the Ultra, the big new feature is a 4.3-inch color display which can show all of your stats so you don’t always have to open the Wyze app on your phone.
Beyond just using the Wyze app, Scale Ultra can also connect to Apple Health, as well as Google Fit and Fitbit.
You’d expect this to work through Android’s Health Connect service, but that’s not the case. Rather, you’ll link accounts behind the scenes to have data sync over. In my own personal experience with other smart scales, that sort of integration can be a bit hit or miss, but with Fitbit no longer offering a Wi-Fi-connected scale, this still serves as a good option.
The Wyze Scale Ultra is now available for $49.98 through Amazon, and sold in black/blue and white color variants. You can save by buying through Wyze directly, where the scale is sold for $43.99.
