Pebblebee is hiding Find My Device trackers for Android in bikes, golf clubs, and more

Alongside the launch of it new “Link” lost item system, Pebblebee is also announcing plans at CES 2025 to bring Android’s Find My Device network to more items by embedding trackers directly into things such as a bike or a golf club.

Pebblebee is one of the only brands supporting Google’s Find My Device network for Android with its item trackers, but the brand isn’t stopping at traditional item trackers, with plans in 2025 to launch new trackers that are embedded directly into items.

These new trackers, taking the form of “Pin” or “Plate” modules, can be built into items that you might struggle to effectively use a traditional item tracker with. These are based on Pebblebee’s Universal platform, meaning they’ll work with both Android’s Find My Device network and Apple’s Find My network.

In a demo at CES 2025, Pebblebee showed us these “Pin” trackers embedded within bike handlebars and golf club grips, while the “Plate” tracker was embedded within a pair of skis. These trackers have longer battery life compared to smaller item trackers, but these aren’t necessarily meant to be added after the fact. The goal, Pebblebee hints, is to partner with other brands and offer these trackers as an add-on or a feature of another product, such as a bike.

Pebblebee explains:

The cylindrical Pin and slim Plate embedded modules, available in both rechargeable and fixed battery-life versions, offer enterprises item finder integration for diverse use cases from bike handlebars to luggage and personal electronics. Powered by Pebblebee’s Universal Bluetooth technology, these solutions provide active tracking, multi-sensory alarms, and connectivity to millions of Apple Find My™ or Google’s Find My Device™ network devices. By embedding either form factor, enterprises can deliver tracking features to customers with integration time measured in weeks not years.

It sounds like this will be coming in 2025, but no specifics have been announced just yet.
