With Gemini now included in all business tiers, Google is increasing the price of Workspace plans in 2025.

The previous Google Workspace price increase was announced in 2023 and started rolling out last year for existing customers. Google raised the fee for customers paying monthly, but kept the annual cost the same.

This upcoming Google Workspace price increase impacts both monthly Flexible Plans and Annual/Fixed-Term Plans.

This pricing takes effect for new customers on January 16. Google says “Price changes for existing Google Workspace subscriptions will begin no sooner than March 17, 2025.”

  • “If you have a flexible plan, existing subscription pricing will be updated starting March 17, 2025.”
  • “If you have an Annual/Fixed-Term plan, your subscription price will be automatically updated to the latest pricing no sooner than March 17, 2025, or on your next subscription renewal date (whichever is later).”
  • “Starting January 16, 2025, any new subscriptions – including subscription downgrades, upgrades, and plan type changes – are subject to the updated prices.”

There are currently no changes for:

  • Workspace for Education subscriptions, including the Gemini Education and Gemini Education Premium add-ons
  • Workspace for Nonprofits subscriptions (nonprofits with a paid Workspace Business or Enterprise subscription will get access to AI features according to their plans)
  • Frontline, Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, and Workspace Individual subscriptions
  • Personal Google accounts, including accounts with Google One AI Premium subscriptions

The new Gemini features for Google Workspace Business are rolling out starting today, and Enterprise customers will see them from January 29 onwards.
