Motorola details Razr Fold specs: 6,000 mAh battery, €1,999, still no release date

Following a preview back at CES, Motorola is officially detailing the Razr Fold specs including a big 6,000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

At MWC 2026, Motorola is revealing the Razr Fold in “full” – in quotes because, well, we’re still missing two pretty important details in the price and the release date for the foldable. It’s still coming in 2026, but the exact timing is a mystery. Motorola confirmed in a blog post that, in Europe, the foldable will be available for €1,999 bundled with a Motorola Pen Ultra. The company hasn’t confirmed pricing in North America or other regions, but it stands to reason we’re looking at around $1,800-2,000 based on the European pricing, perhaps even exactly $1,999 – Motorola Razr Ultra sells for €1,299 in Europe with the same phone sold for $1,299 in the US.

That said, we now know a whole lot more about this foldable.

Motorola says the Razr Fold has a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W charging and 50W wireless charging – no Qi2 magnets here, not that we were expecting that. You’ll get Android 16 out of the box with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also gets 7 years of OS updates (but no promise how timely they’ll be).

The Razr Fold runs on top of Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 – just 8 Gen 5, not the Elite.

You’ll also get a 6.6-inch outer display (2520 x 1080, 165Hz), 8.1-inch inner display (2484 x 2232, 120Hz), and stylus support on both displays. The whole device is IP48/IP49 dust/water resistant, and comes in “Blackened Blue” and “Lily White” colors.

Rounding the Motorola Razr Fold specs up, the camera array includes 32MP and 20MP front-facing cameras on the outer and inner displays, respectively, with a rear 50MP Sony LYTIA main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera with macro support, and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera that also uses a Sony LYTIA sensor.

Motorola also showed off the Razr Fold’s software in more depth, including multitasking modes, a “desk display” tent mode, and a “laptop mode” that turns half of the display into a trackpad.
