Motorola’s new Razr foldables are now available for pre-order in the US, with flip phones and the book-style Razr Fold shipping later this month.
The Motorola Razr (2026) series consists of three new clamshell foldables – Razr (2026), Razr+ (2026), and Razr Ultra (2026). Put simply, these aren’t phones you’re going to want pre-order, for two reasons.
For the Razr+ and Razr Ultra, that boils down to the fact that these phones are largely unchanged from their predecessors – and, in the case of the Razr+, even the 2024 model. Updated hinge hardware, some battery upgrades, and new colors are all you’ll have on offer, and at a steep price.
Razr+ (2026) runs $1,099, while the Razr Ultra (2026) is $1,499. It’s a hard price to swallow for the minimal tweaks, as you might have heard on our podcast, The Sideload.
- Here’s everything that’s actually new with Motorola’s 2026 Razr lineup — it’s not much
- Don’t bother with Moto’s new Razr Ultra — last year’s model is nearly half off and virtually identical

The base Motorola Razr (2026), despite a price hike, is still a good option. Its new colors look great and the new main camera is a welcome upgrade too – stay tuned for more hands-on coverage soon!
But all three of these phones are destined to see big price cuts in the months to come. With that and the minimal changes in mind, pre-orders simply don’t make a lot of sense. That said, you’re welcome to head over to Motorola.com or Best Buy if you truly do wish to get your hands on these phones right away.
The one device worth your pre-order is the Motorola Razr Fold. The company’s first book-style foldable, in our first week of use, is excellent, and while its $1,899 price tag is also likely to see discounts in the months to come, it stands up well to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the US market, and its price actually feels worthwhile.
