Lenovo’s new rugged Android tablet has a removable battery, now on sale for $499

Announced earlier this year at MWC 2026, the Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is now available in the US as a rugged Android tablet with a removable battery, and it costs $499.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is a tablet meant mainly for work use cases. The rugged tablet features an IP68 dust/water resistance rating, MIL-STD-810H certification when using the included rugged case, and optimized business features such as a front-facing NFC point and the option to run the tablet in a battery-less mode as a kiosk. It also features two USB-C ports, a Tab Pen XE stylus, and has four years of software support with enterprise management options.

But, behind all of that, it also seems like a pretty decent tablet if you just want something a bit more rugged and flexible.

The X11 has a 10.95-inch 2560×1600 display, Android 16 out of the box, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage (with microSD), a headphone jack, and a 10,200 mAh battery. That battery is also removable, both for the sake of the kiosk use case mentioned earlier, but also for a quick power swap if you get your hands on a second battery. There’s Wi-Fi 6E support, but no cellular here.

Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is available for $499 in the US directly from Lenovo.com. That’s for the 128GB model, with the 256GB tier landing at $579. You don’t need to be a business customer to make the purchase either.
