Google Photos rolling out ‘Video Remix’ powered by Gemini Omni

Google Photos is using Gemini’s “create anything from any input” model to offer a new Video Remix capability for fast and stylized editing.

Video Remix lets you pick a clip in your library and apply templates like “Set my video in a greenhouse” to change plain backgrounds to “something fun.” A more obvious edit is “Paint my video in dreamy watercolor,” with other styles including sketchbook and oil painting.

A more practical effect, like “Relight my video with a morning glow,” applies “cinematic relighting to spruce up a dark clip.”

The idea is to transform your clips into “share-worthy moments in just a few taps” without “professional skills or hours of editing.”

Once live, Video Remix is available in the Create tab alongside the image version of Remix, Photo to video, and Collages.

Video Remix is rolling out to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers starting today in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Turkey, and the US.
